Geomorphological observation
The photograph records an active open-pit landscape rather than an untouched natural landform. Excavated slopes, haul access, exposed benches or working surfaces and spoil have modified relief, drainage and exposure, while low residual hills preserve part of the inherited terrain.

Geological interpretation and evidential boundary
The photograph records an active open-pit landscape rather than an untouched natural landform. Excavated slopes, haul access, exposed benches or working surfaces and spoil have modified relief, drainage and exposure, while low residual hills preserve part of the inherited terrain. This distinction matters because present slope form cannot be used directly to infer pre-mining geomorphology or seam structure. The image supplies operational scale and exposure context for the logging work; it is not an independent facies indicator.
