RTS 74 Stratigraphic Panel — Sheet 31

Sheet 31 is tranche 3 of the 4-sheet RTS 74 profile, bounded by Sheets 30 and 32; continuity at both joins is part of the evidence. The source places Seam A1 at about 14–24 m and Seam B2 at about 107–112 m in RTS 74; the wide vertical separation makes continuous depth registration between sheets especially important.

Geological interpretation and evidential boundary

Sheet 31 is tranche 3 of the 4-sheet RTS 74 profile, bounded by Sheets 30 and 32; continuity at both joins is part of the evidence. The source places Seam A1 at about 14–24 m and Seam B2 at about 107–112 m in RTS 74; the wide vertical separation makes continuous depth registration between sheets especially important. The serrated fine-clastic intervals are useful separators between seams, but their log texture is non-unique and must be reconciled with core recovery and the adjoining sheet before correlation. Taken with its neighbouring tranches, RTS 74 Sheet 31 is auditable correlation control—not independent evidence for depositional environment, coal quality or lateral persistence.
